In response to popular demand, we are now offering Private Mentoring sessions for 2 to 4 select candidates each session. Selection is at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
What is Private Mentoring?
Private Mentoring is not to be confused with a private class or general tutoring. It is intensive one-on-one coaching to support artists wishing to develop in a specific area at an accelerated speed. This is open to all artists, regardless of ability as the sessions are private and focus on their specific needs and goals. The only requirement is the willingness to commit wholeheartedly to the goals you set.
What is the structure?
Mentoring sessions consist of five 2-hour sessions that take place with Samantha at Studio Technique over the course of 10 weeks. Mentoring sessions will be held on Monday or Tuesday afternoons, and possibly evenings.
How much does it cost?
The fee for Private Mentoring is $1000 + tax. Should the artist request life drawing mentoring, they will be responsible for the cost of the model as well.
How do I Apply?
For consideration, please submit a one page letter outlining your goals and expectations, along with a sample of your work. All applications must be received no later than November 21, 2011, for the Winter 2012 session. Please alert Samantha or Belinda ASAP if you are considering applying for either the Fall or Winter session.
When will I know if I am accepted?
All applicants will be advised of their application’s status by November 23, 2011, for the Winter 2012 session.
